AI product demo video generators (2026): what each one actually automates
By Stéphane Rathgeber · · 8 min
Most AI demo video generators polish a recording you make: they write the script, add an AI voice or presenter, zoom and translate. Capturing the product, and capturing it again when the interface changes, usually stays with you. Only a few tools film the product themselves: Clueso's agents on its Enterprise plan, and Redemo, which re-films opted-in videos after a detected release.
“AI demo video generator” describes tools that do very different things. Some polish a recording you make. Some put an AI presenter in front of screens you supply. Some generate footage from a prompt without ever seeing your product. A few drive a browser and film the product themselves. Before comparing prices, it helps to know which steps of making a demo a tool actually takes off your hands, and which ones stay yours.
Every capability and price below was checked on the vendor’s own pages on October 13, 2026. Where a vendor’s pages contradict each other, we say so. Prices change often, so confirm before you buy.
The seven steps of a SaaS demo video
- Capturing the product: someone, or something, has to show the real interface on screen.
- Writing the script, ideally to a word budget (see our script template).
- The voice-over: your voice, an AI voice or a clone of yours.
- A presenter on screen, if you want one.
- Editing: cuts, zooms, captions.
- Translation, for other markets.
- Updating the video when the interface changes.
Most AI tools automate steps 2 to 6. Step 1 is usually still a person recording the screen, and step 7 is usually that person recording it again. That is where the categories below differ most.

You record, AI does the rest
Trupeer
Record your screen while talking through it, or upload a recording, and Trupeer turns it into a polished video and a written document: a script from what you said, AI voices, automatic zooms on each action, and a presenter, its own or a HeyGen avatar if you have a paid HeyGen plan and an API key. The homepage says 120+ languages for translation; the pricing page says two on Scale and 100+ in bulk on Enterprise. A free trial runs for ten days with a watermark and recordings of up to five minutes. Pro costs $49 billed monthly or $40 a month billed annually for one creator.
Guidde
Built for how-to videos: it records a workflow from a browser extension, desktop or mobile app and turns it into a step-by-step guide with a narrative script. AI voices (200+ on Business, in 50+ languages) start at Business, $59 billed monthly or $39 annually per creator; Pro, at $29 or $19, lets you record your own voice only. Avatars, translation and voice cloning are Enterprise options. The free plan allows 25 guides with a watermark.
Videomule
Upload or record a product walkthrough and the AI writes the voice-over script from what the video shows, with 100+ voices and voice cloning. It is the most explicit about updates: “UI changed? Just upload the new clip and regenerate the voiceover.” The new clip is still yours to record. Creator costs $29 monthly or $19 a month billed annually; the trial needs a card.
Descript, Tella and Loom
Recorders and editors with AI help rather than demo generators. Descript edits video by editing the transcript, regenerates spoken lines with a voice clone and offers avatars on paid plans; Hobbyist costs $24 monthly or $16 annually. Tella records screen and camera and cleans up the take with transcript editing, filler removal and automatic zoom, from $13 a user a month billed annually. Loom adds summaries, chapters and filler removal on Business + AI, at $24 monthly or $20 annually per user; its text-to-speech fixes are in beta and English only. Our Loom alternatives guide compares the recorders in detail.
A presenter in front of your screens
Synthesia
The free AI Screen Recorder, a Chrome and Edge extension, records up to 60 minutes, turns your voice-over into an editable script, can replace your voice with an AI voice and puts an avatar next to the recording, in 140+ languages. Its product demo page is candid about updates: if your interface changed, you need a new or updated recording for those scenes. Starter costs $29 billed monthly or $18 a month annually (the demo page says $19).
HeyGen
Its product demo workflow starts from screens you supply, such as screenshots, recordings, slides or a PDF; the page states that this workflow has no built-in recorder, although the pricing page lists a screen recorder on every plan. A presenter narrates your script, from your own text or a prompt, in 175+ languages with lip-sync. When a screen changes, you swap it and regenerate only that part. Creator costs $29 monthly or $24 annually, with usage counted in credits. Our HeyGen alternatives guide covers the credit system.
Interactive demo tools that now make videos
Arcade turns flows captured with its extension, desktop app or Figma plugin into AI videos with a synthetic voice-over and no avatar, mixing your recordings with stock clips or AI b-roll. Its own blog describes updates both as re-recording the affected step and as narration that regenerates automatically. Growth costs $50 per seat monthly or $42.50 annually and adds MP4 export. Supademo exports its demos to MP4 and adds AI-generated text, voice-overs and translation from Scale, at $50 per creator monthly or $38 annually. Both are interactive demo platforms first; see our Supademo alternatives guide.
Agents that film the product themselves
Clueso
Clueso is an AI video editor for recordings you make or upload: script rewriting, 100+ AI voices, avatars, automatic zoom and translation on every plan. It also sells agents that do step 1 and step 7 for you. Its browser agent navigates your product with demo or staging credentials and records the walkthrough on its own, and with GitHub connected it can detect product changes, find the videos that are now outdated and regenerate them. Both are Enterprise features, and the update agent is a paid add-on. The free plan exports ten minutes a month with a watermark (its FAQ says fifteen); Solo costs $50 monthly or $40 annually for one user.
Redemo
Redemo is built around steps 1 and 7 rather than the editor. You give it the address of your app, a short brief and, if needed, a demo account. You approve a 90-second script, a browser films each scene in your live product, and an AI presenter narrates it over the footage, with the editing handled for you. You can enable automatic updates per video: we check your product daily for a new release when it exposes a usable signal, verify that the approved path still works, then re-film and publish within your monthly allowance; if a check fails, the previous video stays live. An earlier version can be restored in one click.
The limits are real: standard presenters speak English only, there is no translation or editing timeline, and a presenter with your own face and voice is a pilot to confirm with us first. Plans start at $49 per site per month, with several videos per site, without a sales call.
Generated footage, not your product
invideo AI and Ngram generate videos from a prompt, with AI scripts, voices, avatars and generated or stock visuals. They show your real interface only if you upload a recording of it. Ngram starts at $29 a month or $23.20 billed annually; invideo AI showed Starter at €10 a month billed annually to a visitor in Europe. They suit an explainer or an ad more than a demo; our comparison of explainer videos and product demos explains the difference.
How to choose
- You are happy to record, and want the rest polished fast: Trupeer, or Videomule on a smaller budget.
- The videos are how-to guides for customers or staff: Guidde.
- You want an avatar presenting your recording, in many languages: Synthesia or HeyGen.
- You already run interactive demos: Arcade or Supademo video export.
- An enterprise team wants an editor plus agents that record and update: Clueso Enterprise.
- A product team wants its demo filmed and kept current without recording or a sales call: Redemo.
- The video is a story, not your interface: invideo AI or Ngram.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI product demo video generator?
A tool that automates part of making a demo video of your software: writing the script, an AI voice-over or presenter, editing, translation. Most start from a screen recording you make; a few drive a browser and capture the product themselves; some generate footage from a prompt and never show your real interface.
Can AI record a product demo for me?
A few tools can. Clueso's browser agent, an Enterprise feature, navigates your product with demo credentials and records the walkthrough. Redemo films each scene of an approved script in your live app with a headless browser. Most other tools, including Synthesia, HeyGen, Trupeer and Guidde, start from a recording you make or screens you supply.
What happens to an AI demo video when the product UI changes?
With most tools, you record the changed scenes again; Synthesia says so explicitly, and Videomule asks you to upload a new clip. HeyGen lets you swap one screen and regenerate that part. Clueso's update agent, on Enterprise, and Redemo's automatic updates re-capture the product themselves.
Which AI demo video generator has a free plan?
Synthesia, HeyGen, Arcade, Supademo, Guidde, Descript and Clueso have free plans with watermarks and limits; Trupeer offers a ten-day free period, and Tella and Videomule trials (October 2026). Redemo has no free plan; it starts at $49 per site per month.
